Vincent Huang, Ph.D.
Director of Data Science & AI
“I may have the MacGyver syndrome: my current social media accounts are filled with DIY channels. My current favourite amidst the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown is the hair cutting robot by Stuff Made Here. If only I had the skills to match!”
As director of data science and AI, Vincent leads Surgo’s efforts in exploring and applying data science and machine learning tools such as causal AI in global health programs as well as driving collaborative partnerships for Surgo’s data platforms. He believes the best innovations come from crossing knowledge boundaries and building interdisciplinary bridges.
Vincent has a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering (computational neuroscience) from Johns Hopkins University and a BSc in physics and physiology from McGill University.
