Transportation represents a major obstacle to obtaining prenatal care, especially for low-income women who may not have access to a reliable vehicle. But regular, timely prenatal visits are essential to monitoring the health of a mother and her unborn child. We are working with partners to test effective, customer-centric solutions to address this problem.

The state of Uttar Pradesh in India has one of the highest maternal and child mortality rates in the country. To help save more lives, we are focusing on shifting behaviors and getting more mothers to practice healthy behaviors, such as breastfeeding, or giving birth in hospitals, where it is safer for them and their babies.
