Showing Why Vulnerability Matters

The COVID-19 Community Vulnerability Index (CCVI) assesses the expected negative impact of a COVID-19 outbreak for every state, county, and census tract in the United States, allowing us to pinpoint our response to precisely where communities are vulnerable, so we can determine how to best support them.

Helping Africa Fight COVID-19

The Africa COVID-19 Community Vulnerability Index assesses seven kinds of vulnerability for 751 regions in 48 countries across Africa to help governments, donors, non-governmental organizations, advocacy groups, researchers, and others develop more effective, data-driven responses to the pandemic.

Getting Vaccines to Those Most In Need

Operationalizing vaccine allocation at the state and county level is no simple task. The Vaccine Allocation Planner for COVID-19, developed in partnership with Ariadne Labs, provides U.S. state and county decision makers with the localized data they need on available coronavirus vaccine doses, priority populations, and vulnerable communities to plan vaccine distribution, based on equitable allocation principles.
