Tich Mangono

Program Manager

My favorite summertime activity is dancing and playing the hand drum (ngoma or djembe) at Meridian Hill park drum circle in DC.

As a program manager, Tich oversees Surgo’s tuberculosis portfolio and contributes to data science initiatives for COVID-19. He believes in using machine learning and process automation to solve high-impact development challenges and contributes to several of Surgo’s machine learning initiatives. Before Surgo, Tich worked for Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), at both country and global levels, where he coordinated a multimillion-dollar, multi-year grant across teams in Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa to reduce new HIV infections.

Tich has an M.S. in Analytics from Georgia Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University.
