As a research scientist, Staci provides expertise and guidance on research design, analytic, and implementation to help Surgo generate insights to solve global development challenges. She is passionate about understanding how technology can be best leveraged to strengthen health systems.
Prior to joining Surgo, Staci worked as a graduate research assistant at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she supported maternal and child health and nutrition-focused randomized control trials in rural Bangladesh and designed digital tools to improve and track health care accessibility and service coverage in Lesotho. She previously worked in program monitoring and evaluation at Lwala Community Alliance, a community-driven organization providing health services in western Kenya.
Staci received a Masters of Science in Public Health in Health Systems from the Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Bioengineering from the Schreyer Honors College at the Pennsylvania State University.
