Sandra Clark

Director of U.S. Healthcare

Music is an important part of my life. I wanted to be a classical musician as a kid, and I still practice my oboe and alto sax on the weekends (and sometimes between meetings!). I recently saw Yo-Yo Ma perform from his home office over Zoom - it was amazing and surprisingly intimate and real.

As Director of U.S. Healthcare, Sandra is relentlessly enthusiastic about improving the U.S. healthcare delivery system by applying new data tools and analytical capabilities while building community strengths. She works to ensure the right solutions - often those that are non-clinical - are valued appropriately and equitably.

Sandra draws on extensive experience in healthcare, public health, and digital technology to help Surgo develop innovative tools, especially for maternal health. During her two decades in the health ecosystem, she has worked in direct care settings, crisis response, school-based health care, Medicaid & Medicare managed-care organizations, and in digital health solutions, including stints with Solera Health, Votive Health, and Health Share of Oregon.

Sandra is currently a second-year doctoral student in population health sciences at Thomas Jefferson University. She earned her Master of Public Health from Oregon State University.
