Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced product lead. This is the right role for you if you are passionate about building B2B data analytics products that answer tough questions in healthcare, and that clients love to use. Surgo will be launching its first products in 2022, and as our first Product role you will be critical in owning the road map and building it from the ground up working closely with the leadership team. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy. We focus on data-driven tools, monetized datasets, and data-heavy consulting services.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Launch the company’s first viable product to the market that addresses an identified need in one of our target markets (primarily healthcare and public health)

  • Own and drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch

  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype/MVP construction and final product development by engineering, design, and UX teams/agencies

  • Create iterative product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI

  • Analyze market data to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire company

  • Work with the team to develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Surgo and its products across primary market segments

About you:

  • Demonstrated success in defining and launching products that meet and exceed business objectives

  • Experience with data and analytics products

  • US healthcare market expert and deep understanding of the competition, and how customers think of and buy products

  • Has technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise in developing data, analytics, and AI products in the healthcare space

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in product design, engineering, business, or related field a plus

  • 5–7+ years of experience as a product manager

  • Previous software and web development experience a plus
