Adele Wang, Ph.D.

Senior Research Scientist

In my free time, you will find me in a park trying to train my extremely naughty german shepherd pup to become an upstanding canine citizen. Or trying out new restaurants (take-aways nowadays!) - I love food but am a terrible cook.

As a senior research scientist at Surgo, Adele serves as the scientific lead on the UK COVID-19 research program, using data to tackle key COVID-19 problems ranging from COVID-19 vulnerability to vaccine uptake. Adele is an interdisciplinary researcher, with skills and knowledge spanning epidemiology, psychology and economics. She is passionate about conducting rigorous research that drives evidence-based policy development.

Adele holds a Ph.D in Behaviour Genetics from the University of Bristol and a B.A. in Natural Sciences (with a specialisation in Experimental Psychology) from the University of Cambridge.
